Math may not be his strongest suit. Maybe your watch fixed it, but I hope you didn’t actually run almost 6 laps, otherwise the correct time may have been closer to 14 minutes.

Yea and tbh it's even easier to pass then they said. All the minimum standards are actually lower. But the tradeoff is that it is really hard to Max the test.

common SPC, challenge one of the SGT to a pushup contest so they retire and you can get promoted i really do wish we did those pushups when i was in. WAYYYYY too many people do them differently, count different, etc. now everything is FINALLY standard on the pushup. i actually thought this new test was supposed to be worse or harder, seems pretty much the same overall with the run actually looking slower with more emphasis on the sprint early on which i see more as an individual challenge than a go/no-go situation. only took em eons to get a test based on combat and not health. pushups, situps, and a run never let me know if you would be able to carry things around forever or how far you could be pushed in other scenarios. knew people who could literally do pushups all day without stoping, couldnt lift 150lbs though

"I'm an Army National Guard, Specialist of 9 years." Reserve and Guard have faster promotion systems than Active... how are you still a "Specialist?" Even Active duty (Ass-U-Me you're not a sh-it soldier) should atleast be a NCO by this point... E-5 or E-6 atleast. Those who are "on the ball," E-7 and E-8.

@Gino Montana He did 3 reps of 340lb deadlift. That's basically 155kg. That's certainly more than most people could do just walking up to a bar, but he's a pretty big and solid dude. I think he's probably got more muscle than me and he's definitely a good bit taller. I can probably do 20-30 reps at 155kg. Last time testing volume was 10 reps at 200kg. The text showed 200lb deadlift, so I'm not really sure how that's calculated. That mile and a half run is gonna get me though. haha Of course, I'm a fair bit older than both these guys... ;)

QUESTION: How many laps did you do in the run? Because I believe the math as stated in the video is incorrect. Check it at 8:10 in the video. If the lap is 0.42 miles and you went 5.8 laps as the instructor said, you actually ran 2.436 miles. The correct math should have been 4.8 laps or 2.016 miles. Unless I missed something.

Hol up, them hand release push ups are wrong man. No offense your a unit of a man, but you bring your hands up clear off the ground in view of the grader flexing your back in the process, then you place you hands back on the ground ending that rep, the time varries though the grader tells you up sometimes waits a few seconds then says down, that time can varry to the milisecond you go up to 5 seconds after you go up
